WordPress for webOS is an Open Source project released under the GNU General Public License v2.0 (learn more about GPLv2). The app is built by the community, and anybody can get involved and help take the app to new heights! WebOS is a very simple platform to work with, as it’s all HTML5, CSS3, and Enyo – the JavaScript framework. Learn all about webOS at the Palm developer portal.
Easiest way to get started is to follow the Development blog. Here you can post about anything and everything concerning the app, and get in touch with the current core contributors.
To track bugs and suggest enhancements, we use Trac. Head over to the webOS Trac to file reports and submit patches. To be able to use it, you need a WordPress.org account, sign up here.
The source code is available via Subversion (SVN). You can browse the files in Trac or point your SVN client to webos.svn.wordpress.org, where you’ll find the latest development build. If you’ve never heard of Subversion, you can learn more about it on Wikipedia.
In true Open Source spirit, we use an IRC chat room on Freenode to hang out and talk about WordPress mobile development, not just webOS but all the other WordPress app projects as well. Jump in! Point your IRC client to irc.freenode.net and join the room wordpress-mobile.
